    Verdict

Black Douglas generally goes well at this level but a strike-rate of 1-30 doesn't convince while Busy Bimbo has an even worse record of 1-66 though she's gone close in two of her last three starts. Spring Bird scrambled home at Newcastle but didn't run as well at Catterick last time while Manatee Bay is 12lb higher than for his only success. THE NIFTY FOX last won a race at this track last summer but he's now dropped to a very fair mark and there should be another race in Tim Easterby's veteran so he's given the nod.
