Verdict

Directa's Digger is taken to beat Easibet Dot Net and Act Sirius. This is a poor race for the prize money and Michael Scudamore appears to have found his dour stayer a hefty prize. A plating hurdler in the winter, he seems to have found his niche in staying contests and with little in the way of opposition, he looks hard to oppose. Easibet Dot Net is completely exposed. He is capable on his day but has a questionable temperament when push comes to shove. Act Sirius was last seen out on the level by Howard Johnson. With two victories over hurdles in the winter, he won't mind any overnight rain arriving in Scotland. Asrar is a long standing maiden over hurdles and has shown little aptitude for the flat. Stravonian hasn't given the bookmakers too many sleepless nights during his career thus far. A surprisingly badly supported event given the prize money on offer and Directa's Digger looks most likely to be taking it home come Friday evening.
