Arms Acrossthesea ran his best race for some time when narrowly denied by Adaleel at Carlisle last time (now 4lb higher) and the form was given a boost when the winner scored again at the weekend. There is little to choose between Shirley Collins and Whass Urrp on recent Warwick form at the revised weights while there may be further improvement to come from the unexposed Abbaleva who incurs a 6lb penalty for her Newcastle debut handicap victory. Mr Lear, a lightly raced all-weather winner, ran creditably on his return to turf and is another capable of further progress.
