Verdict

The progressive HARD IRON (NAP) landed the hat-trick upped to today’s trip at Catterick and seems impervious to the underfoot conditions. Nicky Richards’ charge can defy a further rise in the weights. Faithfulflyer won a lower grade contest at Kelso and is 7lb higher while Lock Down Luke had the measure of Lastofthecosmics when runner-up over track and trip and can figure again, though another placed effort at Kelso on Friday may have taken its toll. Red Missile and Starlyte won their penultimate starts and may take each other on for the lead.
