In depth

Verdict

Lac Sacre won at Southwell last month and was then third on the Polytrack, beaten less than three lengths. That suggests he'll be thereabouts in this but we are taking him on with SPIN CAST. Brian Ellison's Flat winner drops into this grade for the first time after being placed three times in maiden company and Harriet Bethell is good value for her 7lb claim. Western Approaches arrives off the back of a win in a Taunton handicap but that was over 2m4f and this tight track may not suit. The reminder are approaching the veteran stage and likely to struggle on today's terms.
