Mr Laggan has a better chance than his recent form figures would suggest and he rates as good value against old rivals Gangsters R Us, Renvyle and the penalised No Kidding, who are all expected to go well in a race that lacks strength in depth. No Kidding made the most of a good opportunity at the weights when he out-stayed Renvyle here 10 days ago. His 7lb penalty does not make life easy for him and there should not be too much between them again this afternoon. Gangsters R Us can never be ruled out at this level and, as a three-time previous winner at Musselburgh, he obviously loves the track. He is now 2lb below his last winning mark and has a live chance despite giving weight away all round. However, the likelihood of more attractive odds being available about Mr Laggan makes him a more sporting option on these terms. Kate Milligan has been a very profitable trainer to follow with her few runners here over the last five years and, as Mr Laggan is also effective around these tight turns, this may well turn out to be another successful raid on Musselburgh prize-money by the Middleham-based trainer.
