Verdict

GINGER JACK is our idea of the most likely scorer with Jewelled Dagger and Silver Rime the most logical alternatives. Mark Johnston's handicappers have been winning at will at present and this gelding has proved no exception with a recent win at Haydock Park under his belt. His third at Doncaster to Sea Lord reads particularly well and there is plenty of reason to believe that he is still on the upgrade. Jewelled Dagger and Silver Rime reoppose from their Ayr meeting of July 4. The former attempted to front run before weakening rapidly so all hopes are that the booking of Paul Hanagan and the reapplication of headgear make the difference. Silver Rime, on the other hand, was showing his best form since leaving Richard Hannon, though will be asked to repeat the dose off a mark of 89 this evening. Espero split the pair and gets to try again off the same mark. The suspicion is that he is probably better on an artificial surface. Keys Of Cyprus has questions to answer after a lamentable effort at York at the weekend. Ginger Jack is confidently recommended.
