      Verdict

This is an ultra competitive handicap sprint where last time out winner Jaconet will have his supporters but we'll instead take a chance with SANDWITH while Blue Tomato could get into the prize money at a bigger price. The pick has a great strike rate here scoring three times from nine starts over the minimum trip. He only missed out by a head in similar conditions last time and while he's up three pounds for that he can go well on these terms. Joconet was an easy winner last time at Wolverhampton but this represents a step up in class making the eight pounds extra on his back a significant penalty. Blue Tomato has been on excellent form on the all weather scene this winter and having taken a better race than this off a higher mark in similar conditions on turf last summer there is every chance his recent runs can be continued here. Rothesay Dancer would probably want the ground a little slower while Le Toreador should challenge off a mark just a pound higher than his last time out course and distance near miss. You could probably make a case for several others here as well but the strongest chance seems to belong to Sandwith.
