In depth

Verdict

Special Prep remains 6lb higher than when winning over timber at Southwell over a year ago and has been well beaten in both subsequent starts over fences. My Charity ended last season with a second over hurdles but got no further than the first at Taunton on his chasing bow and WOLFCATCHER s preferred. The latter won over fences at Newton Abbot during the summer and Ian Williams' charge should find this easier dropping down a grade after recent defeats at Aintree and Sandown.
