A weak fillies event in which Etching should justify the long trip up North with Chevin and Prime Attraction looking likely dangers. Etching needed plenty of rousting in order to grab second place at Thirsk on her previous start but it is difficult to envisage James Fanshawe persevering with a 45-rated horse unless he believed that she was capable of picking up a couple of events before a career in the paddocks. Chevin finished behind Etching on that occasion but she's looked to be very disappointing in her last couple of races and has scarcely found anything when asked for her effort. She is still capable of picking up the odd minor contest before the end of the season but we will watch her until we see signs that her heart is still in the game. Prime Attraction hails from a yard that is at least in-form. Still a maiden after umpteen starts she is well treated at the present if we judge her on a second to Easter Parade albeit with a little of cut underfoot. It is slightly worrying though that her followers are yet to draw from the win counter after twelve starts on the flat. Bridge Pal did not appear to stay eleven furlongs at Lingfield in May and there are obvious questions to answer not least after a month long absence. Gargoyle Girl was well backed before managing third in a better contest at Haydock Park. She remains one to watch in the market. The remainder have plenty to prove on recent evidence. We therefore recommend Etching in the finale with a watch on the market for any signs of confidence about Gargoyle Girl.
