Tidal Point was a maiden on the Flat but placed over 2m2f at Pontefract so this trip should prove ideal. Leostar has reserved his best so far at Kelso but GOLD MINER, a winner between the flags, has been crying out for this step up in distance and is overdue a win under Rules. He gets 8lb from likely favourite Threeunderthrufive, already a winner at Lingfield and Ludlow, and the same from Irish raider Born Patriot. The Golden Rebel and Corach Rambler are stepping up in class while Fantastikas is proving hard to place.

Corach Rambler (IRE) 14-1 (10-12) Held up in rear, headway to chase leaders before 3 out, ridden to lead after 3 out, ran on well after last, won at Ayr 3m (4) hvy in Jan beating Seven Eye Bridge (11-4) by 3l, 5 ran.
Leostar 5-1 (11-0) Tracked leader, pulled hard for the majority, shaken up and every chance 2 out, ridden in 2nd last, kept on but no match for the winner run-in, 2nd of 7, 2 1/2l behind Rock On Fruity (11-11) at Kelso 2m 7f hcp (3) sft in Dec.
