        Verdict

        COSMIC RAY was less than a length ahead of fourth-placed Adventureman when winning at Nottingham last month. But the former has subsequently confirmed running by a much wider margin when going close at Haydock last time. This looks easier and Les Eyre’s charge is also preferred to Scruffy Mcguffy, who landed double on the Turf last year but finished last on his recent reappearance at Wolverhampton. Kerry Icon won at Redcar last time and could go well again raised only 3lb.
