In depth

Verdict

Amadeus Grey has gone close in three of his five runs to date and Tim Easterby’s colt should be in the firing-line again even though he is more exposed that his rivals. Patchouli had little chance in a Listed race at Sandown last week but had won at Lingfield before that, though on an easier surface. CABALLERO was ahead of Amadeus Grey over 6f at Ayr last month and has a progressive profile. The extra furlong should suit so he gets the nod in a tricky little contest in which Carlisle runner-up Flint Hill also warrants a second look.
