      Verdict

      FURZIG missed the whole of last year but prevented Saisons D’Or from landing a hat-trick when beating the latter at Thirsk a fortnight ago. There looks more to come from Richard Fahey’s charge this season and he’s less exposed than Mulligatawny. But the latter won over 1m2f at Ayr recently and a penalty is negated by an apprentice’s allowance while Swift Emperor also has claims on a narrow-margin defeat at Beverley last time. Rose Tinted Spirit won over track and trip last season but is 10lb higher than when last successful and returns to action along with Brian Ellison’s two runners, First Flight and Be Kool.
