In depth

Verdict

Treble Jig won with a bit in hand on the turf at Abu Dhabi earlier this month and on that evidence should confirm superiority with runner-up Achill Bay despite the worse terms. Highland Glen and Mojave Moon finished further behind and have even less chance of reversing the form, while the latter's stablemate Iron Age has been beaten out of sight in two starts here this year though he did have some decent form to his name in France in 2010. AVERROES did nothing but improve for Clive Cox this year culminating in a Shergar Cup victory at Ascot in August. This longer trip should suit and a chance is taken that new trainer Ernst Oertel has him ready for action for his debut in Dubai.
