    Verdict

Fareer is a really tough and useful handicapper who improved in his second Carnival start last week and looks certain to get competitive. Several of these ran over 7f here last week when Willie Supple stole the race on Across The Rhine. SWOP and Mahubo dead-heated for second with Hujaylea in fourth, Navajo Chief fifth and Warsaw sixth but all finished strongly off a slow pace and it would be no surprise if any were to reverse the form and take this though the vote goes to Swop, who was having his first run since October. Kavango has run two fine races on Tapeta and this lightly-raced son of Cape Cross will have no problems reverting to turf.
