Godolphin are determined to keep this at home with six of the eight runners, four of them with Charlie Appleby, all last-time winners. William Buick would have had the pick and has gone for First Nation, a very impressive winner on his first start here last month though James Doyle was on board when Spotify beat the useful handicapper Sharpalo on his track debut over 1m4f a month ago. Oasis Charm had Buick on board when defying a long absence to beat Team Talk narrowly on his debut here last month and though the latter is 4lb better off he'd already had a prep run so the places can be confirmed. Vintanger completes the Appleby quartet and he's the type to do well here having landed a tough Newmarket handicap when last seen in July. RACING HISTORY completes the Godolphin sextet and he's run two fine races behind Dream Walker over a trip on the short side so gets the nod. The remaining pair have it all to do on official ratings.
