Graymalkin was an impressive winner over Star Surprise a couple of weeks ago but a 5lb rise may just be enough to prevent a follow-up and neither are well drawn. Clasp had a couple of lengths to spare over Layali Al Andalus in a non-Carnival event before Christmas but that form doesn't look quite good enough. The lightly raced AZAMEERA is well drawn and won three times for Clive Cox. She started favourite on her debut here last month but never got into contention and hopefully the run will have put her straight for this. Doug Watson has acquired a decent handicapper from Mark Johnston in Hacienda who made a winning debut on his only Polytrack start in 2010. He's one to note as is the ex-Mick Channon filly Metropolitain Miss, another with a 100% record from one Polytrack start.
