In depth

Verdict

Cooptado, a Grade 1 winner in Argentina, ran an excellent first race for Doug Watson in the UAE Derby here on World Cup night and looks a tremendous acquisition for the yard. However, Pat Dobbs rode him on that occasion and plumps for the race-fit STORM BELT this time and the hint should be taken as his mount was an impressive winner here last month from subsequent winner Henry Clay. Interpret ended the last campaign in poor form and is best watched for now and the main threat could come from the Satish Seemar yard. Ottoman Empire, has only ever won on an artificial surface including twice on Tapeta here. Richard Mullen's choice Farrier, who goes well fresh and has done well on the Dirt surface at Jebel Ali. Another from the same stable, Zambucca, has been racing in Group company for Gay Kelleway and twice finished close-up in high-class events here in the spring.
