        Verdict

        After a couple of short-priced defeats, DESERT WINGS went to Kempton and landed a maiden by eight lengths from a subsequent winner. It wasn't much of a race but a mark of 82 could prove very lenient and he'll be ready for this. Musaddas represents Saeed Bin Suroor though not Godolphin. He was beaten when long odds-on by a horse rated 10lb below him at Wolverhampton where he pulled much too hard. Light Burst has his first start here but doesn't appear to have been done many favours in the ratings while Jamhoori needed every yard of the mile when scoring here at the beginning of the year. The latter's stablemate Colour Guard has won three times in his career - all at Southwell - though not for almost two years but the front-running Al Farahidi went well in his last two starts in November and will lead them a merry dance. Mundahesh scored over the course and distance in November before a moderate effort over an extra furlong.
