        Verdict

        Chasing Halos went up 8lb for landing a handicap on Tapeta in November and couldn't quite cope with the extra at Jebel Ali last week. Roicead hasn't quite got back to his best but has been running in better class and shouldn't be dismissed. I'M BACK, runner-up to the high-class Soft Falling Rain over 7f on Tapeta a year ago, has been competing at a much higher level subsequently and is the definite form pick at the weights, though the drop back in trip is a slight concern. Stablemate Pied A Terre, four times a winner in Australia including at Group 2 level, disappointed here and in the UK last year but looks on a very fair mark. Hattaash was having just his second start in the UAE after arriving from France when scoring on Tapeta at the beginning of the month and has the scope to do better. Red Duke hasn't won since his two-year-old days but has generally performed at a much higher level and would be a threat to all if ready.
