In depth

Verdict

MUJAARIB goes well fresh as he showed when landing a Group 2 on his debut here in 2014. He wasn't quite at his best last season but would have a chance second to none if anywhere near ready. The 2014 John Smith's winner Farraaj improved into a Group performer and very nearly landed the Mackinnon at Flemington the same year. He looked badly in need of the run on his reappearance at Jebel Ali and will strip much fitter here. Big Baz made massive strides in the autumn, landing Listed events at Newmarket and Kempton, and official ratings put him right in the picture as they do Limario, winner of a tough handicap here last February with the selection behind, before finding Group 1 company much too hot.
