        Verdict

        Mike De Kock has three entries. Star Empire is no doubt working his way towards another Dubai Gold Cup run and is much better over two miles. Christophe Soumillon prefers Sanshaawes this time despite the fact that all of his form is over much shorter including his two excellent victories at this time last year. El Estruendoso is the third runner from the yard and he's another tackling a longer trip though he needs to find more on what we've seen so far. Teletext looks a class act having been placed in the Group 1 Grand Prix de Paris. This is his first start here and he'll be aimed at bigger things but is still likely to make his presence felt. Al Saham battled on to land a handicap three weeks ago from today's rival Fire Fighting but it's SONGCRAFT who is given the nod. The Godolphin entry has won first-time-back for the past two seasons including this race a year ago. He just about holds Excellent Result on later form and can gain his fourth victory on the course.
