The brilliant J J THE JET PLANE was all the rage on his return to action here three weeks ago despite never having raced on Tapeta. The Hong Kong Sprint winner ran badly behind Green Beret and though the explanation was that he hated the surface he was beaten a long way out. This race looks made for him, however, with only Doncaster Rover racing from his correct weight and he's another who ran poorly in Green Beret's race. The latter has since finished a good fifth behind Bankable in a Grade 3 with Iver Bridge Lad, Indomito and Alazeyab all behind but is much better on Tapeta than turf. Orife is probably capable of better than we've seen so far in Dubai and rates a threat but like most of the entries is badly in with JJ The Jet Pane on official ratings. Field Event, who has been in good form in Saudi Arabia on dirt, scored on turf in his native South Africa and could snatch a place.
