A very strong renewal with Godolphin holding a powerful hand through the top three on the card plus recent acquisition Pisco Sour. Formerly with Hughie Morrison, he ended the last campaign completing a double in a Group 3 at Ascot and a Group 2 in France and though making his debut on the surface he's obviously a high-class performer. Frankie prefers Dubai Prince, unbeaten in his first three starts before breathing problems scuppered his chance in the Champion Stakes at Ascot. This will be his first start on a synthetic surface but big things are expected of him and he should prove better at this stage than stablemate Biondetti, a Group 1 winner as a juvenile in Italy. Prince Bishop completes the Godolphin quartet and he could hardly have been more impressive in a handicap over the C&D three weeks ago. Richard's Kid, a triple Grade 1 winner in the USA, failed to fire in two runs here last year but shouldn't be ruled out though Mendip and MASTER OF HOUNDS are probably the main contenders. The pair met in Round 1 of this series where the latter, beaten a nose in the UAE Derby here a year ago for Aidan O'Brien and making his debut for Mike De Kock, came from out of the clouds to finish runner-up to Musir and should again have the measure of Mendip, who probably needed the run and has shown his best form over a mile.
