In depth

Verdict

Dhruba Selveratnam had a double at Jebel Ali on Friday and though YAA WAYL's (NAP) form figures don't look enticing he's competed at a higher level and is on his lowest mark for a very long time so can give Chris Hayes another winner. Life Partner, formerly trained for Godolphin in the UK, had to wait until April for his first victory for Doug Watson and that was at Jinma Racecourse in China. Global City also ran at that fixture though not very well and he hasn't won since completing a hat-trick in 2010. Ajraam was in reasonable form around this time a year ago but ran poorly on his last two starts in February. Blessington won twice for John Gosden including a decent Ascot handicap but he showed nothing here in the spring and is having his first start on Dirt. Mushir has raced in better company since scoring at Thirsk for Roger Varian and is one to keep an eye on.
