In depth

Verdict

GENIUS STEP looked to have an outstanding chance here a month ago and duly obliged. That was his fourth success in nine outings and there's more on the horizon. The Taj was only half-a-length behind off levels so with a 4lb pull there should be very little between the pair but the winner can go in again. Ghaamer won three times at the beginning of the year and shot up the handicap. He was well beaten by Shaishee last month but a big run from that winner in the previous race will do the form no harm. Najm Suhail made a winning debut at Dundalk in May of last year but has never won in the UAE despite some decent efforts. Signs In The Sand and Sand Stamp both looks their stable's second string and Ajraam has never recaptured the form that saw him land his opening two races in the summer of last year.
