Melicertes was a smart two-year-old on soft ground in France but performed poorly on good going here earlier this year. Verboten made a successful debut for John Gosden at Yarmouth in 2019 and though he never showed in three starts here this spring they were in much better company. The former Godolphin inmate Creek Horizon is fit from a run at Jebel Ali last week but Flamewood has been mainly well beaten in all starts. SCOTS PINE had a couple of runs as a juvenile in France and improved with each start here and at Jebel Ali in the spring so gets the nod.
