Ghaamer won a course and distance handicap a month ago, when the lightly-raced Ostaad wasn't far behind, and ran well in a better race on Turf last time. Jamhoori has a similar profile and appeared to find 7f too short last time after his earlier course and distance success. However, he was behind MUSADDAS in that latter race and Saeed bin Suroor's charge, who was making his handicap debut, stayed on strongly after missing the break and can go one better. The lightly-raced Chequers was also in that race and ran well enough to consider. Touch Gold won twice for Sir Henry Cecil in 2012 and arrived here on a lowly mark which he took advantage of two weeks ago. He's only gone up 5lb and with his young rider claiming 7lb he looks to have every chance of completing a quick double. Puzzlemaker beat subsequent winner Waahy in a maiden here in December but will need to make further progress in this much tougher race.
