GOLDEN JESS, a useful dual purpose performer for Philip Kirby, returned from a break recently when a close fourth at Wolverhampton on the Polytrack. He appeared to have a hard race that day but is the one to beat here back over timber if fully recovered from that reappearance run. Adios Alonso has plenty in his favour with trip, ground and track all looking to suit and he rates the leading threat to the selection after going well on both starts this season. Torran Sound isn't on too bad a mark and returns to the scene of his only success over timber whilst Irish raider Knockanarrigan is worth a note after scoring here when sent over to the Lincolnshire venue last month.
