Verdict

A tricky beginners' chase as Bar De Ligne and General Miller are the best of these by some way over timber and now make their respective debuts over the larger obstacles. The former makes slightly more appeal on paper and it will be fascinating to see how the pair take too their new discipline. Bound For Glory should come on for a fair fencing debut when runner-up to Nagpur at Southwell whilst Priest Island has always looked the sort to do better over fences after being something of a disappointment over hurdles. A tentative choice is PANTXOA from the in-form Alan King yard. He was still bang there when falling in a decent handicap won by Merrion Square at Kempton, having jumped well up to that point. Not disgraced in three previous attempts over fences, his experience should aid his chances in a difficult affair.
