Another cracking handicap which sees Work In Progress bidding for a fifth win in six starts. He makes his handicap debut off a high enough mark but stablemate Its'afreebee could be interesting if the ground turns really testing. Peter Bowen’s runners in chases here are always worth a second look and Uttoxeter winner WADSWICK COURT went close over course and distance in July. Though 14lb higher now, another big run is anticipated. Brave Spartacus is a previous course and distance winner and still well treated, despite last month’s easy win at Cartmel, but the going is likely to be too soft for Poker School, The Clock Leary and Ballybolley. Catamaran Du Seuil has his first run over fences in the UK but did win over the larger obstacles in France and could be well treated.
