In depth

Verdict

Wise Coco arrives off the back of a first career victory at Perth but will have to defy an 8lb hike in the weights. Scottsdale won a novices’ handicap over a similar trip at Stratford but is also 8lb higher. Richard Strauss usually finds at least one too good while Ex S'elance is having a first run since successful over further at Newcastle in April. The interesting one is OLYMPIC ODYSSEY, running in a handicap for the first time having had a pipe-opener on the Flat last month – he is very unexposed.
