Laudatory beat Hawkhill by nine lengths at Stratford three weeks ago with AHYAKNOWYERSELF a further length-and-half away in fourth. But the top weight reserves his best for that track and is 10lb higher here while the latter looked more in need of the run than most that day. Richard Newland's charge, useful on his day, can come out on top today as Hawkhill has disappointed since at Plumpton. Falcarragh is on a roll but closely matched with Ittirad on last month's Stratford form and Solaras Exhibition is another who has shot up the weights following a recent victory. Watered Silk won twice here in the spring and had a recent pipe-opener on the Flat, as did Prompter, while Sedgefield third Stormy Weather should be approaching peak fitness now and should have a better chance in this grade than either Taaresh or Orthodox Lad.
