Verdict

Laser Blazer is eased in grade and 4lb lower than for his last win. It would be no surprise if he bounced back to winning ways and he's preferred to Fair Loch, who only won a seller here last time. Alf Wright can only improve on his first run for Philip Hobbs at Stratford and isn't badly treated on his form in Ireland. Handsome Dan was third over a longer trip here last month while Dr Irv was fourth in a novices' event here on his latest start over timber and has been in decent form on the level this year. DON PADEJA is reunited with Richard Johnson, who rode him into second at Stratford in July. This sharp track will play to his strengths and he can go one better today.
