DAN BUOY seems to have enjoyed a new lease of life on the flat this season and while he will have to race from 1lb out of the handicap today - he could be a big player if allowed to bowl along at the front. What A Scientist is another who seems to have been rejuvenated though this time the trainer has had a great deal to do with it. Having won off 105 earlier in the summer, he has to bid for the three-timer off a 15lb higher mark. Pilgrims Lane appears more consistent for the application of cheekpieces and tongue strap and has to be a player at this level. Fairoak Lad might be using this as a prep for an early season fencing bow so Barnhill Brownie is worthy of note, especially as Giles Hawkins is able to take off a valuable 5lb claim. Raslan continues in the tonguestrap that he sported when successful at Newton Abbot.
