Formerly with Paul Nicholls, Pepporoni Pete has not shown a similar level of form for Milton Harris but has been running creditably of late and again has place claims but for the winner it may be worth siding with HI DANCER, who gets the vote ahead of Mister Benedictine. Brendan Duke's gelding was well held in the Summer Hurdle here in July but had run well on his previous start at the track and again here last time so he has to be considered. Arniecoco has been a disappointment for Philip Hobbs this term and of more interest may be John Mackie's Peaceful Means, who has been running consistently well of late but may just be a shade high in the weights. Sydney Sling ran better at Wetherby when last seen in May and would have every chance if ready for his reappearance but a safer option looks to be Hi Dancer. Pat Haslam's gelding struggled over fences in the spring but has run much better on the flat and back over hurdles of late and he looks worth siding with off the same mark as when a close second over course and distance last month.
