In depth

Verdict

A minefield for punters with Dr Cerullo, Granite Man and Wise Tale among the more obvious contenders and we shall side with Granite Man. The form of Jonjo O'Neill's runners has to be of some concern but Granite Man has been quitely campaigned ahead of a long-term aim over chase fences and there is every chance that he could be open to further improvement. Dr Cerullo was third in a slowly run race at Stratford but the form of the race has worked out well and he has to be a big player if there are any chinks in the armour of our selection. Wise Tale ran a career best when chasing home Irish Wolf in his most recent engagement and while he is not a prolific winner, he would hold some sort of a chance if the rain stays away. Barnbrook Empire won in selling grade and is stepped back up to handicaps. Willies Way looks to have plenty of weight for what he has achieved thus far. A competitive race in spite of the numbers and we shall give a tentative nod to Granite Man.
