Martin Pipe has four runners here, but the likes of Montreal and Gladiateur IV have it to do to stop Jonjo O'Neill's In Discussion from reeling off another win. In Discussion did not look anything special on his British debut when landing a seller, but has looked a different animal since being switched to fences. Easy successes at Bangor and Newton Abbot came his way before he battled well to beat another of today's rivals, Kety Star at Stratford. Although strictly held on revised terms, In Discussion will appreciate the longer trip here and can handle a seven-pound rise in the weights to go in again. Spectrometer was a fairly useful hurdler and has taken well to fences, although this is a big step up in trip, while Montreal in contrast, would not be bothered by further. He still has the scope to land a major long-distance chase in time, but is passed over today, along with one of his three stablemates Gladiateur IV, who was put in his place by Take A Stand at Newton Abbot. That form does not look good enough, and with the rest making no appeal, this looks best left to In Discussion.
