In depth

Verdict

A small field could be reduced further with Isle Of Aron engaged in the 5.10 Wincanton yesterday. De Mazzaro won four times on the Flat last year but returns from a break. Cheng Gong is proving hard to place and is still 5lb higher than for his only win so far. PRESUMING ED has been running in better company since winning a seller here on Boxing Day and he looks the obvious one in this ahead of Forever Des Long and the four-year-old George Bancroft, though Urban Grit is worth a market check as Fergus Gregory rides this track as well as anyone.
