Verdict

Emerald Chieftan landed a Class 5 novices' handicap over hurdles at Sedgefield and only went up 3lb but couldn't quite cope when stepped up to this grade at Southwell. The veteran Invicta Lake was on a very long losing run before winning easily at Fontwell last month but ran poorly on a return visit 10 days later. Dallas Cowboy has only won once in 27 starts and blundered his way round at Southwell on his debut for Tim Fitzgerald so the vote goes to LOCH GARMAN ARIS (NAP). Gary Hanmer's charge hasn't had much racing for his age and was having only his third start over fences when a close third at Bangor in December. He has a break to overcome but looks too strong at this stage for the inconsistent maiden Truckers Tangle while Hugo's Reflection makes his chasing debut having shown little in bumpers and over hurdles. Dream On Dreamer was engaged in the 4.45 at Huntingdon yesterday.
