Verdict

The Resdev Way has been in winning form on the Flat. Pateen beat Lady Babs here last summer and is only a pound worse off with the latter not having raced since. Admirals Bay has an even longer absence to overcome so the vote goes to LIGHTNING ATTACK (NAP), who beat a subsequent winner here in February and may well have won on the Flat at Musselburgh last month had he not slipped coming off the final turn. Major Snugfit won at Sedgefield and Southwell in the autumn but his recent runs on the level have lacked sparkle.
