Vaughan is preferred to Oniz Tiptoes in what looks a straight shoot out, with Enlightenment best of the rest. Only the first two mentioned can be seriously considered, and on the evidence so far this term, Vaughan looks the one. Henry Daly's six-year-old had a double penalty to endure when failing to secure a hat-trick at Newton Abbot recently, but the ground will be in his favour here providing there is no deluge, and his main rival has to carry the same weight. Granted, Richard Tierney takes 7lb off the back of Oniz Tiptoes, but he has yet to prove himself at this trip. He still makes more appeal than the rest though, with Enlightenment one for the future. Sure to have been well schooled since letting his supporters down over timber at Newbury in March, he will benefit if either of the principals comes a cropper, but Vaughan has the best credentials, and can defy the assessor here.
