      Verdict

Habanero can defy a penalty to see off the challenge of Edas, with Richtee and Dandys Hurricane expected to benefit from the experience. Habanero has won two of his last four starts, the most recent of which was at Bangor where he kept on well to beat Stradbrook. The quicker ground suited him that day, and as long as it does not soften considerably here, he has leading claims of following up under Tony Dobbin. Edas was sent off as favourite on his hurdles debut at Cartmel last month, but looked a bit one-paced in third. He should come on for the experience though, and is preferred to a couple of interesting newcomers. Dandys Hurricane shaped as though he would stay a trip when third in a 12-furlong Leicester claimer in July, while Richtee was down the field on his last outing on the Flat at Yarmouth, and is sure to have been well schooled by his up-and-coming trainer. Habanero has the proven form here and is the one to beat.
