Verdict

Richard Johnson is The Last Bridge’s regular jockey but hasn’t won on his mother’s gelding since 2014, Charlie Deutsch having urged the enigmatic veteran to his last two victories including one here last month. GLOBAL DOMINATION is only a year younger but much less exposed. His latest second at Huntingdon looks the best form on offer in this, even though Brown Trix has only gone up 3lb for winning at Newcastle – the latter’s jumping is always a cause for concern. Dawnieriver is eased in grade but hasn’t shown a great deal in recent starts.
