Sue Smith plays a good hand here with Flake just getting the nod over stablemate Miss Holly, while Bogus Dreams is respected and should make a bold bid to pay for the travelling expenses down from Scotland. Bogus Dreams underwent a wind operation last year and it will be interesting to see how well he fares now that he has the benefit of a seasonal run behind him. This galloping surface will suit his style and he is one to seriously monitor in the betting. Miss Holly is a previous course winner and starts her season on a fair mark. However, she has obviously suffered a training setback and has a little to prove regarding her fitness. She is one to bear in mind for next time. Overstrand and Muntami are others that have claims on the pick of their efforts and can go well at fair odds. However, Flake arrives here at the top of his game after a smooth success at Wetherby last time out. The ground should be ideal for him and, with the 6lb rise not being an insurmountable barrier at this level, Flake is not expected to crumble when push comes to shove.
