Richard Guest always expected Wet Lips to make a decent chaser and he can go in at the first time of asking today, Sailor Ahoy and Kavi are the obvious dangers. It is hard to believe that Wet Lips has only recorded one victory to date, as he is a very consistent performer. He jumps really well over hurdles where he is rated 117, and against this opposition he should start his new career on a high note. Sailor Ahoy showed improved form to finish sixteen lengths behind Bob Ar Agaidh at Wetherby last time and could be the biggest threat to the selection. Kavi was going well before coming a cropper at the third last in a Southwell handicap last time. If his confidence isn't too dented he should be involved in the finish. The others make little appeal and so Wet Lips looks to have quite an easy task on his chase debut, and is a confident choice.
