Verdict

Alan Swinbank won this race last year and is well known for his success in these contests and ROCKS RULE looks capable of retaining his unbeaten record. He ran on strongly to beat a decent yardstick in Eagle Owl on his sole start last season with the first two pulling clear of the field and looks a decent prospect. Our Mick is also defending an unbeaten record and shouldn't be underestimated for a yard in terrific fettle whilst Jukebox Melody is entitled to improve for his debut experience. Brunswick Gold is feared most though having shown up well on his Rules bow in an Irish bumper that has thrown up winners although his future may lie over obstacles and a longer trip. The market can guide with regard to the newcomers.
