    Verdict

Pomme has some talent as well as seemingly wayward tendencies on the evidence of her latest run at Newton Abbot but cannot be discounted off her lowly weight. Symphony Of Angels seeks the hat-trick but was far from convincing at Hexham and could find the concession of a stone to AIR SQUADRON too daunting despite having the edge in experience. The George inmate, a useful stayer on the Flat for Ralph Beckett, has shown more than enough in two starts over hurdles to suggest he has a future over timber, notably when a respectable third to Jimmy Breekie at Perth last month.

Mathayus (IRE) 14-1 (10-10) Handy in chasing group, lost place 7f out, well beaten final 4f, 5th of 8, dist behind Al Shahir (11-5) at Newcastle 2m mdn (6) hvy in Feb.
