It would be no surprise if Jessie May obliged first time at the expense of True Dove, Morning Roses and Single Handed, with Gunnasayso also worth a mention. Paul Webber always has to be respected with his runners in this sphere and you can be sure that Jessie May will have been well tuned up for her racecourse bow. A daughter of Supreme Leader, she is related to the likes of Gaye Brief and Gaye Chance on the dam's side, and if she has inherited an inkling of their ability, a bright future is assured. True Dove shaped well when second on her Huntingdon debut, while Morning Roses will be suited by this track, having hung to her right when third at Catterick last month. Fellow four-year-old Single Handed should give a good account on her debut, and Gunnasayso, a half-sister to plenty of winners, hails from a stable that can get them ready early. All in all, there are plenty with potential, but a sporting vote goes to Jessie May.
